The Amherst Chamber of Commerce has a full time professional staff that is available during all business hours to assist our members in the identification of solutions to their business challenges.
Our organization recognizes that we can’t solve all the problems in the world but we have been very effective in partnering with other organizations in the marketplace to provide solutions to our member issues. These partnerships include, but are not limited to:

Certificates of Origin
The Amherst Chamber of Commerce is an authorized Certificates of Origin issuer. A Certificate of Origin (CO) is an international trade document that certifies that goods in a particular export shipment are wholly, obtained, produced, manufactured and processed in a particular country. They also serve as a declaration by the exporter. A CO must be signed by the exporter, notarized, and then validated by a designated organization.
To obtain a CO from the Amherst Chamber of Commerce complete a Document of Indemnity and have it notarized. Please also complete a Certificate of Origin Form and bring both documents to the Chamber offices.
There is a $5 fee per stamp for active chamber members and a $25 fee for the first stamp and $5 for each additional stamp each visit for non-chamber members.
A 2012 study conducted by the Schapiro Group showed that 49% of consumers are more likely to think favorably of a local business it is a chamber member, and 80% are more likely to purchase a product or service from a chamber member.
The Amherst Chamber of Commerce receives incoming calls daily asking for referrals of products and services. We ALWAYS refer active members.
