SUNY Internship Opportunities
May 2026
SUNY is excited to announce growing support and collaboration with the Amherst Chamber of Commerce as part of SUNY’s ongoing effort to expand paid internship opportunities for students across New York State. This partnership aligns with Chancellor John B. King Jr.’s vision that 100% of SUNY undergraduate students complete a paid internship or other high-impact practice prior to graduation.
Through this collaboration, SUNY and the Amherst Chamber of Commerce aim to strengthen workforce pipelines, connect businesses with talented SUNY students, and support employers interested in developing or expanding internship opportunities. SUNY has built infrastructure to help simplify the process for employers through direct support, internship development resources, regional coordination, and connections to campuses across the SUNY system.
Internships continue to play a critical role in student success, workforce readiness, and talent retention while helping employers build early connections with future professionals in fields ranging from finance and IT to marketing, data analytics, HR, and more.
Businesses interested in learning more or exploring internship partnership opportunities are encouraged to complete SUNY’s Employer Interest Form.
*In the “Anything Else You’d Like To Add?” section, please note that your organization is affiliated with the Amherst Chamber of Commerce* so our team can appropriately connect and support your organization.
