During my 36-year career at the Chamber, I had a front row seat to all the systemic changes in the marketplace and the ever-changing expectations of the business community. Our strength has always been and continues to be our fluidity – our ability to mobilize around an issue or challenge quickly and professionally. That characteristic is the foundation for our success.
The Buffalo Niagara region is in the midst of a renaissance. Our infrastructure is undergoing major improvements, our economy and our jobs are growing and our reputation is going from dreary to spectacular. The Amherst Chamber of Commerce has played a role in many of these transitions. As a member of the WNY Regional Economic Development Council, I had the opportunity to participate in the creation of our Strategy for Prosperity that resulted in millions of dollars of investment in our economic base.
Even though I have stepped down from my role as President and CEO, I will continue to serve as Senior Advisor, Public Policy and Economic Development and look foward to helping the Chamber have a voice on the issues that will help our community grow and prosper.
