The Business Resource Council represents the small business community. Membership is open to any small business with less than 20 employees or a firm, such as a bank, that has a division that focuses on small business. An Advisory Board of small business representatives designs the annual business plan and formats the product and service identification and delivery.
Over seventy percent (70%) of our membership is small businesses. We view them as our customers. This demographic requires a tangible return on their membership investment and looks to the Amherst Chamber of Commerce to provide them with the tools to sustain and grow their firms.
The Business Resource Council (BRC) hosts an Annual Meeting for the purpose of identifying gaps in business services in the marketplace and utilizes this information to develop programs and services that fill those voids. We may offer programming directly to satisfy our members or we may partner with another agency but we make sure programs are priced correctly and offered conveniently.
The BRC Small Business Awards and Showcase has grown to be one of the most well attended events in the region. Our members have the opportunity to market their products and services to over 350 attendees, prior to joining us to celebrate the accomplishments of their peers.
The BRC Ambassadors greet new members, attend Business After and Before Hours to introduce new members to one another and serve as hospitality hosts for the Chamber.
The BRC Chair is Kyle Aronica from Evans Bank.
